"Paddock paradise" boarding

Horses in Sunset
Our goal is to implement a natural lifestyle in a domestic environment, focusing on how to stimulate natural movement and allow for natural herd behavior. We do this by using the Paddock Paradise method made famous by Jaime Jackson. Make sure to read Our Facility page for details on this method and why it is so beneficial to your horse.
Horse Sleeping
We only offer our all-inclusive track system boarding, including:
  • Enjoying the boarding method of the Paddock Paradise track system. (Read here to explore the benefits of a Paddock Paradise boarding facility.)
  • Shared use of stalls when needed for special circumstances, lots of shelter provided on the track for inclement weather
  • Hot and cold wash station. We keep fly spray and shampoo in stock.
  • Heated and cooled tack/feed room with food prep station, feed storage, utility sink, bathroom, tack storage, and refrigerator
  • Access to riding trails
  • Blanketing (when under 40 degrees for at least 4+ hours)
  • Fly masks as requested
  • ACCESS TO HAY 24/7: Majority of hay made available is Bermuda. 1/4 of hay will be of a different type such as Timothy or Orchard just to add variety.
  • One feeding a day. Options for feed are 3qrts of Purina Senior Active (great for even younger horses) with hoof supplement and salt, or if grain isn't needed, appropriate portion of Triple Crown Ration Balancer with hoof supplement and salt. Or owners can provide different feed and supplements at their cost and we will be happy to feed once a day.
  • No charge for medicine or ointments (minimal charges for major wound care determined by complexity of treatment)
  • Owner has full access to all amenities with the exclusion of times when areas are being used for training or events
  • Note: We live 6 miles from the property. We come to the property at least 2 times a day or for one very long afternoon visit. We enjoy spending as much time there as possible. Wild Meadows' neighbors check in on horses during their 3 walks a day, alerting us to any issues or even addressing the issues themselves.

Boarding Rate:                               $600/month for single horses                             $550/month per horse for multi-horse families

Horse Training in Arena
Grooming Session                            $16/one       $56/four      $120/ten
Brushing does more than just keep your horse looking his or her best, it's also good for stimulating blood flow, removing dead cells and loose hair, distributing the natural oils produced by your horse. It is also another pleasant interaction with people and another stimulation added to their day. Grooming sessions usually last around 30 minutes.

Riding and/or Ground Work      $50/session
Sometime life gets in the way and you don't have the time you hope to have with your horse. To prevent him/her from becoming rusty, one of our staff will work on ground work or riding. This is not for any specific training goals (that would be considered a "training session" as described below), but for a chance for your horse to get some exercise and extra activity for an hour during the day.

Training Session                                Varies in Cost
We work with a few trainers and can give you recommendations as needed. Outside trainers welcomed for a small fee.
